He enjoys taking long journeys by various means of transportation. Looking out of car windows, he reflects on many things, especially the human experience and the beauty of nature. He also dedicates time to reading, which deeply influences his creative process.

"Books leave visible impressions in my work. They create pictures in my mind. Using my display canvas, and after thoroughly reflecting on these ideas, I then translate them visually," Yohannes Bayou explains, describing his concepts and passion for drawing.

Beyond this, he draws inspiration from his birthplace and surroundings, the places he has seen, both joyful and challenging memories, and his spiritual life. All of these elements serve as ingredients in his work. Currently, Yohannes Bayou continues to draw full-time at Ersas Art Studio and has exhibited his works both domestically and internationally.
